4.0 out of 5 stars - A "Must for every child's library..." July 31, 2012
By Donna
This book explains loss in a way that children can understand. It is light reading for children who want nothing more than to understand where something as fleeting as a rainbow goes. It has an underlying ability to deal with loss of loved ones, as well. It helps explain the "why" of loss in a very simple way. I would recommend this book as a gift to the grieving child or adult. It lightly fills the gap that comforting words sometimes can't. The illustrations are whimsical, colorful and very detailed. This book is lovely as a bedtime story, too and should be part of every child's library.

5.0 out of 5 stars - A Beautiful Book, February 7, 2012
By Karen L. Carney
Where the Lost Things Go," by Barbara Farnsworth and Sheila McGraw, is a beautifully sensitive approach to the delicate topic of loss. The drawings are whimsical, colorful, and are a perfect match for the delightfully written words. At the Safe Place to Grieve Foundation, Inc. Resource Center, I am including this book in our library and for purchase in our gift shop. Karen L. 5.0 out of 5 stars - A Fantastic Children's Book, January 30, 2012
My 2 ½ year old son and 9 month old daughter haven't been able to put this book down since they received it. The illustrations are captivating...drawing them in every time the book is opened. The story is relevant to my son, as loosing things is very relatable to him. The book is also a terrific introduction to the concept of heaven. Knowing that one day, things that are loved but lost will be waiting for us in eternity.
5.0 out of 5 stars - Wonderful for all ages December 22, 2012
This book does an incredible job of taking what could be a complicated discussion problem from parent to child and simplifies it so all can understand one of life's greatest mysteries. Great for all ages.
